Pre-execution versus canonical
Raw Shreds and Decoded Transactions may arrive before execution is known. They describe observed packets or reconstructed signed transactions, not transaction success or finality.
Pool Catalogue publishes immutable pool inventories, not live balances or executable pool state. A signed generation proves the integrity of the inventory; it does not prove that a pool is liquid or currently tradable.
Gaps
Every stream defines a way to detect incomplete delivery. UDP products expose packet and continuity evidence but cannot retransmit. Ordered products use sequence or checkpoint metadata. A consumer must stop or resynchronize when continuity cannot be proven.
Backpressure
Delivery queues are bounded. A slow stream consumer may experience an explicit drop or disconnect; isolation prevents them from blocking delivery to other customers. Catalogue consumers verify and download a complete generation before replacing their last verified inventory.
Schema versions
Customer-facing schemas carry an explicit version. Additive and breaking changes follow the compatibility policy published with the production endpoint. Internal searcher structures are never the external ABI.
Time
Receipt timestamps describe observation at the Shredo edge. They are not validator execution timestamps. Latency comparisons require synchronized clocks and the same measurement boundary.
